Mooney Aircraft
Formerly the Mooney Aircraft Company, the Mooney Aviation Company produces single-engine general aviation aircraft. The company was started in 1929 in Wichita, Kansas. Later the founding brothers started Mooney Aircraft Inc. in Kerrville, Texas. Though both Mooney brothers sold their stocks and left the company, the remaining stockholders continued production and later became a distributor for Mitsubishi, Ercoupe, and Socata.Aircraft available under the Mooney designation include the Mooney Acclaim series, the Mooney M18 series, the Mooney M18C Mite sub-series, the Mooney M18LA Mite sub-series, and the Mooney M20 series.
