With headquarters in North East England, CAV Ice Protection has operations and manufacturing facilities in the United Kingdom and United States. Authorized TKS repair stations are located in New Century, Kansas and Consett, England.
Since 1942, the company has designed and manufactured bespoke airborne ice protection systems for over 20 civilian aircraft OEMs, 30 aircraft types and even more aircraft variants. TKS Ice Protection Systems are custom designed as inadvertent of Flight Into Known Icing (FIKI) certified systems for single-engine, twin-engine and turbine aircraft. FIKI certified TKS Ice Protection Systems are currently a factory-installed option for the Cessna 208, Cessna TTx, Cirrus SR22, Diamond DA42 Twin Star, Diamond DA62, Mooney M20 Ultra series, Quest Kodiak, and Tecnam P2012 Traveller.
