Needs only one electrical cable to your present transponder and uses your present static connection. See website for up to date pricing.

Available in conventional three-pointer style or modern easy to read airline type counter drum pointer presentation. Barometric Range: 28.1 to 31 inches Hg or 950 to 1050 Millibars.
The Aerosonic Digitizer:
Pressure sensitive altimeter with fast, clear readout for the pilot. Simultaneous digital reporting of altitude via transponder Mode AC or (ALT) to traffic controllers radar screen. A unique, state-of-the-art, solid state encoding system. No brushes, no synchros, no servo motors. Uses a frictionless, accurate and highly dependable optical encoding system with FAA certification under TSO-C10b and TSO-C-88.

Trans-Cal - Blind Encoder:
Trans-Cal Industries has designed a low cost altitude reporting system that will meet and satisfy all the requirements of TSO-C-88. The system is completely independent of the pilot's altimeter and consists of a temperature compensated pressure sensitive dual aneroid capsule, associated mechanical linkages and an encoder module. The encoder module is an optical type utilizing Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) light emitting diodes, a metalized code disc, solid state detector and associated electronics. The digitizer has an active code range of -1000 feet up to +35,000 ft.
