Jet Airbus A Series
Launched in 1972 as the first twin engine widebody, the Airbus A300 is a short to medium range, widebody jet airliner. With a two class layout the A300 can typically seat 266 passengers. The cruise speed is Mach 0.78 (515 mph, 829 km/h, 447 knots at 35,000 ft) and the maximum speed is Mach 0.82 (541 mph, 871 km/h, 470 knots at 35,000 ft).
The Airbus A320 has the capacity for two cockpit crew and 150 to 180 passengers depending on seating arrangements. Cruise speed is Mach 0.78 (511 mph, 828 km/h at 36,000 ft) and maximum speed is Mach 0.82 (537 mph, 871 km/h) at 36,000 ft). The operating empty weight is 94,000 lb (42,600 kg) and maximum takeoff weight is 170,000 lb (78 t).
The Airbus A321 is a member of the A320 family. The cruise and maximum speed are the same as the A320. The A321 features a stretched fuselage that is lengthened by 22 ft 9 in (6.94 metres). The operating empty weight is 107,000 lb (48,500 lb) and the maximum takeoff weight is 206,000 lb (93.5 t).
A wide body, twin engine jet airliner, the Airbus A330 has the capacity for two cockpit crew and 253 to 440 passengers depending on the variant. The cruise speed is Mach 0.82 (537 mph, 871 km/h at 36,000 ft) and the maximum speed is Mach 0.86 (563 mph, 913 km/h at 36,000 ft).
