    Continental O-470-U Engine Information

    A family of carbureted six cylinder, horizontally opposed, air-cooled aircraft engines; the Continental O-470 was developed for use in light aircraft. Manufactured by Continental Motors, the family also includes the E165, E185, and the E225. The Continental O-470-U produces 230 hp at 2400 rpm. The dry weight is 412 lb. The O-470-U is similar to the O-470-S except for max rpm rating and crankshaft damper configuration.
