NORTHPOINT XP470 (Formally P.Ponk) 

Continental 0-470/520 engines may be modified at Aircraft Engine Specialists. An authorized NorthPoint Installation Facility.

To create the NorthPoint XP470, we modify eligible stock Continental 0-470 and 520 models. Although these engines require different modifications, the end result is the NorthPoint XP470. It will dramatically increase the performance of your aircraft by improving thrust, and giving you the capability of higher cruise speeds with little if any increase in fuel consumption. Being a carbureted engine, there is virtually no change in operation or maintenance procedure.

 The NorthPoint XP470 increases the engine displacement by 50 cubic inches and cylinders are equipped with a 7.5 to 1 compression pistons which result in 35 to 45 HP increase over the stock O-470 engine.

Whether converting a Continental 470 or 520 to the NorthPoint XP470 Engine, the end product is essentially the same - a carbureted Continental 0-520 which is rated 265-275 HP.

Engines are complete with full fuel system, magnetos, starter, new harness and plugs. Including all the latest SB's, and AD's. All engines come with a full warranty. Engines are all test run and preserved for shipping.
