Beautiful 1948 Aeronca Champ 7DC-126 featuring a Continental C85-8 engine with only 445 hours since major overhaul and 368 tach hours. Airframe total time is 3,962 hours. Current cylinder compressions are 70/74/72/75, with all cylinders reported excellent.
This Champ has been always hangared, has no damage history (NDH), and is currently in annual through 08/2026. All applicable ADs and Service Bulletins are current. Weight and balance was updated during the 2025 annual inspection.
The aircraft retains the simplicity and reliability of the classic no-electrical-system Champ while benefiting from numerous recent interior upgrades. Interior improvements include new Airtex seats and cushions, new carpet, powder-coated seat frames, powder-coated cockpit side panels, new headliner, new side windows, and a pilot shoulder harness.
Fuel capacity consists of a 13-gallon main tank and 5-gallon starboard auxiliary wing tank for a total of 18 gallons. Empty weight is 885 pounds with a useful load of 415 pounds and a gross weight of 1,300 pounds.
Equipped with airspeed indicator, altimeter, vertical speed indicator, bank and ball, tachometer, oil temperature, oil pressure, magnetic compass, and fuel gauges.
Propeller is a McCauley 1A90, S/N 21892, overhauled October 24, 2006.
Aircraft and engine logbooks are included with available maintenance records dating back to 1954. Original Aeronca data plate remains with the aircraft.
