It has two KX170Bs.
The first one works fine
The second comm is dead but when put into tray 2 I can hear broadcasts so maybe it will be ok.
Nav head #1 needs adjusting according to my avionics tech
Narco AT50A is old but was tested & certified by avionics tech early May.
The sale includes a like new KX125 navcom which bench tested OK early May. It also includes a nearly new MX300 which worked on the bench but has a loose connection; avionics tech says factory can repair. Both have tray and harness.
This is a 45yo airplane, it is not perfect!
However it is airworthy and runs great!
Flight and engine instruments work ok.
Battery new Mar 2018. ELT batt new Mar 2018.
Known damage: one section of leading edge replaced with factory part (storage rash). You cannot see this now.
Wheel pants need serious work, are not serviceable right now. Clock inop.
Airframe logs complete.
Engines / Mods / Prop
The airplane sat for 10 years in dry west Texas after overhaul (by Larry Russell). I flew it 15 hours in Mar & Apr 2018 and did an oil analysis (normal), plus filter examination (nothing found), have scoped the cam (no problems) and cylinders (no problems). Photos available.
There is a large dent in the oil reservoir but has not been an issue. Spin-on oil filter. Accessories in great shape.
Engine logs missing the first 8 years, otherwise complete for the last 37 years.
Interior / Exterior
The paint is not great but does not send little children crying. Paint runs, scratches, missing paint in small areas. Past touch-ups evident. Cracks in strut cuffs, gear cuffs. (fairings). Some cowling fasteners need work.
Interior really new plastic, seats, carpet, belts. Missing kick panels. Some oxidization visible and will need attention, as all old planes do. Some bubbled paint.
