Interior / Exterior

PAINT: WHITE OVERALL WITH GOLD TRIM

The aircraft paint is original and rated at extremely poor. This airplane needs a repaint.
The windshield exhibits some crazing and general scratches throughout. There is an area of heavy scratching on the lower co-pilot side, which is typical of flight instruction aircraft where kneeboards and headsets are placed up on the top of the panel. The windshield is certainly serviceable. However, replacing it during a new paint job should be seriously be considered. The cabin windows show some areas of light scratches and crazing.

INTERIOR: GRAY FABRIC SEATS AND SIDE PANELS, WITH GRAY CARPET.

The overall interior is rated at below average. The co-pilot seat and front carpet are in the worst condition. However, unlike the exterior, the interior can be brought back to very good appearance by refurbishing the front seats, replacing the carpet [an economical process with Airtex or similar replacements], and cleaning up the side panels. The plastic trim is very good throughout the cabin and exhibits a clean and smooth finish with no cracking.

Remarks

The most noticeable damage event was in March, 2005 when the left wing was damaged. Complete and detailed repair documentation is show in both the airframe logbook and Form 337 on file at the FAA. Additionally, in April 2008, a repair was made to the right wing leading edge and wing tip – as recorded in the airframe logbook.
