Detailed Description

Excellent L19. Runs super smooth with all the good upgrades. This aircraft is one of the lightest ones out there. Two propellers one cruise oriented McCauley 8064 with only 14.6 hrs. New in 2022. Gain of 15MPH over stock. Stock Prop McCauley 9047 is perfect for getting up and off the ground quickly (about 350'). This is one of the best short field metal airplanes you can find. Great vision all around. Front and Rear windows open up. The super smooth running O-470-11 has fresh new cylinder assemblies that are now fully broken in. This aircraft is running perfectly and only needs a new owner who will be able to fly it regularly. Documentation back to new. There are 2 bankers boxes full of documents for this plane. Looking to move into amphib floats. Consider trades of Husky, C180/185 I'm willing to put in money for the right trade.

Avionics / Equipment

She's Old and has nothing but windows. Who wants to look at Gauges and GPS readouts!
Garmin GNC 250XL GPS Com
Garmin 327 Txp
AS, Turn Co-ordinator RPM and VSI for rear passenger

Airframe

1954 Cessna 305A airframe with only one known incident in 2010 well documented. The plane was flipped over on landing. The plane was owned by the Canadian military/Air cadets until this time. The plane was purchased and re-built by a well know AME in the Bird Dog community. This plane flies hands off. Maintenance has been the Canadian military until 2010 and then has transferred to owners who have repaired and replaced everything the plane needs.

Engines / Mods / Prop

Engine has 850 Hrs. TTSN. The engine was using quite a bit of oil and I decided that I would be best served to replace the cylinders even thought they compressions on all of them was quite strong. I purchased 6 brand new cylinders and had them installed. 35 hrs. SNEW cylinders. Engine now uses very little oil. Jasco Alternator. Tempest spin on filter with AD complied. Battery is placed under the rear seat.

Interior / Exterior

Interior is military grade with appropriate coverings and side skirts. This plane is easy to access all the systems. Rear seat can be used forwards or backwards. Second controls and gauges set up for rear passenger.

Remarks

This is a great flying old girl. She has lots of hours but has been well taken care of. Having a metal STOL plane that weighs just over 1400# and has 213 Hp she gets off the ground quickly. Visibility is unmatched. Control harmony is amazing and she flies right. I have gone back and forth wanting to sell but I need it out of the hangar to move on to get an amphib.
