Single Engine Piston DeHavilland DH-82A Aircraft Information

Used in both civil and military functions, the single engine piston de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth was originally used by the RAF and other countries as a training aircraft. Though it was later replaced by the de Havilland DHC-1 Chipmunk, the Tiger Moth was in use by the RAF for over thirty years. Postwar, the Tiger Moth was made available to individuals and flying clubs. The de Havilland Canada DHC models are similar but continue as military variations.
