Engines / Mods / Prop

The model is an ERCO 415D. It started out as a 415C and came originally with the Continental C-75, which is a 75 horsepower engine. When I upgraded to the O-200, 100 hp, other modifications had to be made, most notably the addition of a stainless steel skin over the nose fuel tank and the addition of an electric fuel pump -- that process converted it to a 415D, which increases the gross weight from 1260 pounds to 1400 pounds. The data plate is on the pilot side of the airplane on the fuselage under the horizontal stabilizer, and it says 415D on it now. I have the original 415C data plate which was removed at the time of the conversion.
