With the capacity for two crew member, the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch is a small German liaison aircraft. The Storch was built by Fieseler before and during World War II. Production of the aircraft continued in other countries into the 1950s for the private market. The empty weight is 1900 lb (860 kg) and the loaded weight is 2780 lb (1260 kg). The maximum speed is 109 mph (175 km/h) and the rate of climb is 945 ft/min (4.8 m/s). The Storch is powered by an Argus AS 10 air-cooled inverted V8 engine of 240 hp.
