1992 Glasair RG SH-2R. 200TTAF, 100SMOH, 20SFOH prop, Uavionix ADSB, 406ELT, new interior, new wheels/brakes, meticulous condition inspection 4/20. Original avionics. Fast and fun! Call for details.
Avionics / Equipment
The avionics are original except for the Uavionix ADSB. I make no claims as to what works and what doesn't the #1 nav/comm works reasonably well.
This aircraft was meticulously built and was completed in 1992. It was flown some by the owner who later donated it to the Hixson Museum of Flight who kept until about two years ago when I purchased it. They sold it due to the passing of the original builder.
It has about 200 TTAF since new.
I'd give the exterior a 7.5-8.0. It's clean and smooth with the usual small nicks and dings expected over nearly 30 years.
Engines / Mods / Prop
Lycoming IO-360 with about 200 SMOH (2005). Good compressions. I had the prop Hartzell factory overhauled this spring ($5000).
Interior / Exterior
I had a new interior made this past spring and it looks great!
The aircraft went through a very thorough condition inspection 4/20 using the extensive Glasair Condition Inspection Checklist.
This aircraft is a total ball to fly and is FAST. I will miss it but I fly enough professionally to get my kicks in the air!
But, I recently found THE boat that my grandfather purchased new in 1973 and it will be undergoing an extensive and expensive restoration, thus the reason for selling.
