Detailed Description

Nice short body Mooney with a nice eye catching paint job.  Low time airframe and components, has been in a hangar all of its life.  I believe I am just the third owner, purchased it in 2019 from the fella that bought it in 1974!  It went to St. Louis for its first 10 years and has been in dry Colorado since 1974.  Most all the speed mods have been done and I usually get a 155 knot cruise.  Manual Johnson bar landing gear, very reliable and easy to use.  Annual completed this month, aircraft was reweighed as well.  I am working on my commercial helicopter and need the funding for that, would not be selling it otherwise, this has been the best plane I have ever owned, sad to see her go.

Avionics / Equipment

In 2020 fresh new avionics were installed,
Garmin GNC 355 WAAS GPS
Garmin GTX 330 ES Transponder with ADSB out
Artex 345 ELT
In 2022 a nice new Garmin GMA 345 intercom with Bluetooth was installed along with all new wiring and jacks at 4 locations.  
Other avionics include an overhauled Narco MK12D TSO with DME in the indicator and ILS, S-tec one axis auto pilot coupled to the GPS, and an avionics master switch.

Airframe

Nice low time airframe with 2691 hours since new from the factory.  There was a gear up landing in 1984 where the owner forgot to extend the gear.  The aircraft was repaired, repainted.  There is now a loud buzzer and a big red light to prevent gear up landings.  The following LASAR speed mods are installed: Sloped 201 style windshield, Cowling closure fairing, Flap gap seals, Wheel well liner covers, Horizontal tail root fairing, Dorsal fin fairing, and Wing root leading edge fairings.  Some other nice LASAR items installed are jack point tie down rings, New down lock gear block, and aileron push pull rods that eliminate the repetitive AD 98-24-11. She was last painted in 1984 after the speed mods were installed, paint still shows very well and is in excellent condition from always being hangered.  This aircraft flies very nice and I have enjoyed many speedy cross country flights over the years.

Engines / Mods / Prop

The original engine is installed with 2691 TTSN and only 211 SMOH. Engine was a field overhaul in 2009.  The propeller was installed new in 1984 and was overhauled with the no AD "B" model hub in 2023, it currently has 27 SMOH, it has been dynamically balanced as installed on the aircraft.  Brand new Slick magnetos, harnesses, spark plugs, and propeller governor were installed in 2023.  An overhauled fuel servo, spider valve, new fuel injection lines and all flexible hoses, new vacuum pump and oil cooler overhauled in 2020.

Interior / Exterior

The interior as far as I can tell is the original.  It is in decent shape and very useable.  The interior plastics were all painted in 2002 to a light gray color.

Remarks

Included is a Bruces custom cover, cowling plugs, pitot cover, fresh air inlet cover, tie downs, first aid kit, wheel chock and tow bar. 

All external lights and most internal lights are LED.

This has a Plane Power alternator conversion, a new starter and a new overhauled fuel boost pump.  There is also a nice digital tachometer.

All logs back to new from the Mooney factory.  All ADs up to date only 2 recurring, control wheel shaft inspection and fuel injection line inspection.
