Two owners from new. The last owner gave up flying at age 87 after owning this plane for 34 years in Southern California. In that time he did everything that you can do to a 201 to make it go faster. The rigging is perfect, the gear doors close so that they are almost airtight! It has aileron and flap gap seals. It has a 10:1 Compression engine with a Powerflow Exhaust. I flew it from Southern California, the 300 Nautical miles to Placerville in 1.7 hours at 10,500 feet doing a solid 169 Knots on 9 gallons per hour at 22 inches and 2400 RPM. That was 17 gallons of fuel. A Mooney 201 is truly the fastest way to move four people around, and this particular 201 is very well rigged and very fast. It also runs with a strong oil pressure and cool cylinders and oil. I was impressed. It has very complete logs, No corrosion, No hail and no damage history.
