Airframe

P-51 Mustang Legacy. Well-maintained, always hangar-stored. OSHKOSH 1st Place Blue Ribbon paint and interior - essentially "new". Tip tanks give 108 g fuel (1 stop transcontinental). Roomiest 5 ever built. 1100 lbs useful load.
( "550 lbs of gas, 550 lbs of ass." )

Engines / Mods / Prop

Contential IO-550B first-run engine; appx 1100 hours since new. Polished "Cermanil" Nickle cylinders. Sips fuel around 15 gph at 3000 ft, 160mph. Horsepower to spare (gets you off the ground in about 600 ft!). It's a 3300 lb GW aircraft!
"Brand new" prop (about 40 hours or so.)

Interior / Exterior

Won 2007 OSHKOSH 1st Place award. Looks like new. Beautiful. 5 fully-reclining seats, 198 lb luggage, 40 lb hat rack.

Remarks

Cross-country (the whole US) or around the pattern - a wonder to fly. High-performance, great looks - a real head-turner, utility, economy. Great for family travel, even international (went to Bahamas in it in 1975 when my Dad owned it.) You will love being the envy of all other pilots when you tool up in this beauty!
