    Single Engine Piston Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser Aircraft Information

    An American three-seat, high wing, single engine, conventional landing gear light aircraft, the Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser was produced by Piper Aircraft from 1946 to 1948. The capacity of the Super Cruiser is for one crew member and two passengers. The empty weight is 950 lbs (432 kg) and the maximum takeoff weight is 1750 lbs (795 kg).

    The PA-12 was an upgraded model of the Piper J-5A Cub Cruiser. The PA-12 Super Cruiser was originally powered by a Lycoming O-235-C engine of 108 hp. The aircraft had a metal spar wing with two 19 US gallon fuel tanks. An optional 115 hp Lycoming O-235-C1 engine was also available. The cruise speed is 91 knots (105 mph, 169 km/h) and stall speed is 42 knots (49 mph, 79 km/h).
