The Piper PA-18 Super Cub is a two-seat, single-engine monoplane. The capacity of the Super Cub is one crew member and one passenger. The empty weight is 930 lb (422 kg) and the maximum takeoff weight is 1750 lb (794 kg). The Super Cub was developed from the PA-11. The Piper Super Cub is powered by a Lycoming O-290-D engine. Cruise speed is 100 knots (115 mph, 185 km/h), stall speed is 38 knots (43 mph, 69 km/h), and the Super Cub should never exceed a speed of 132 knots (153 mph, 246 km/h).
