Detailed Description

RAGWING RW11

Wings, fusealge, ailerons/flaperrons, and tail section wood work 99 percent complete. All aviation grade wood and components used. My father spent a lot time making sure the quality and craftsmanship was excellent on this project. A great opportunity for someone to complete a wood and fabric airplane! Asking $6500 OBO. My email: rwm757@yahoo.com

The Ragabond is a scale single-seat replica of the popular Piper Vagabond produced in the 1950s and is produced by Rag Wing Plans Service of Craytonville Airfield, South Carolina, USA. It is described as easy to build, having a tailwheel undercarriage, and is of wood construction with fabric covering. The Company has produced a number of designs for the amateur constructor and many thousands have been built. Designs include the Midwing Sport, Motor Bipe, PT2S, RW5 Heath Replica, Parasol, the Special Bipe, which looks like a scale Pitts special, and the Ultra Piet. All are of similar construction and simple to build.
The Ragabond can be built with drooped STOL wingtips

Airframe

It's actually a Ragabond RW-11 - My dad worked on this for years and did an amazing job! This is less than 51% complete.

Remarks

I would love to see if someone with some skills could purchase or partner on this experimental airplane. The Fuselage, Wings, ailerons and tail section is mostly done. All aviation grade wood materials have been used.
There is no built logbook, could not be found prior to shipping to Colorado but was done under supervision of an instructor in Juneau, Alaska. It's been in dry storage for 18 years.
