Are you looking to build time cheap or just go fly without breaking the bank? Tired of flying time builders that look like they flew through a sandstorm with an engine that sounds like a scooter with a weed wacker engine on it? Well let me introduce to you the new TBM 9000. Time Building Machine. With a Rotax 912ULS, this thing sips fuel at only 5 GPH with a 110 MPH TAS. She can run either AVGAS or 93 octane auto fuel. If you are paying $3.50 for 93 auto fuel like I am, you can be flying this thing for $17.50/ hour wet. Lets just round up to $20 to toss some money in a maintenance fund. And with Rotax 912ULS 2400 hour TBO, you'll have 1900 hours left on this engine. But what if something is wrong with it you ask? Well this baby has been meticulously maintained, and has the logs to prove it. Oil changes every 50 hours if running auto fuel, and 25 hours if AVGAS touched the fuel tanks (and that is hobbs, not tach). Built by a DAR and EAA Tech counselor, it spend almost its entire life in Arizona's arid climate, with only the last few months in San Diego and Texas. Burns literally no oil between oil changes. Compressions all in the mid to high 70's. It has electric trim and flaps. 515 hours on the hobbs. Sensenich ground adjustable prop. The propeller is pitched for cruise, but don't let that fool you. She will climb at 700 fpm easy with myself and full tanks (24 gallons and I am 205 pounds). So why are you selling?! Well I now have a job where I fly 5-6 days a week. As much as I want to keep it, I can't justify it when I don't get time to fly it as much as it deserves. I can ferry if travel costs are covered by buyer, and as a CFI/CFII I can provide insurance check outs as needed. Don't let this pass you buy. Times will change as it is still flown whenever I can.
