    Remarks

Owned and flown by John Thorp when originally built in 1966.
Fully restored in 1996, including disassembly, stripping previous paint, polishing, engine top overhaul with all new cylinders.
Underside of wings, horizontal stabilizer and fuselage painted in the early 2000’s so you won’t have to be polishing on your back! Ailerons and trim tab also painted to avoid having to polish.
Flies beautifully – handles much nicer than the Piper Cherokee line which descended from the T-211!
Burns 5-5.5 gal per hour in cruise, at 90-100 KTAS. Takes off in less than 1000 feet fully loaded.
    MTOW 1270; empty weight 773.
One of the very few canopy airplanes that can be flown canopy open; can open and close inflight.
