Designed in 1963, the Thorp T-18 Tiger is a two-place, all metal, plans built, homebuilt aircraft. The empty weight is 1000 lb (454 kg) and the loaded weight is 1600 lb (725 kg). Designed by John Thorp in 1945, the Thorp T-211 is a low wing monoplane of conventional design with fixed tricycle undercarriage and a sliding canopy. The empty weight is 750 lb (339 kg) and the maximum takeoff weight is 1270 lb (575 kg). The maximum speed is 120 mph (193 km/h). The T-211 is powered by a Continental O-200-A engine of 100 hp.
