Cessna 303 Series Aircraft Information
Produced from 1978 to 1986, the Cessna T303 Crusader is an American six place, light twin engine aircraft. The T303 has the capacity for one crew member and five passengers. The empty weight is 3305 lb (1499 kg) and the maximum takeoff weight is 5150 lb (2336 kg). The cruise speed is 196 knots (226 mph, 363 km/h), stall speed is 62 knots (71.5 mph, 115 km/h), and the maximum speed is 216 knots (249 mph, 400 km/h). The rate of climb is 1480 ft/min (7.5 m/s).
First flown in 1978, the original Cessna 303 Clipper, was a low-wing, four seat, Lycoming powered, twin engined aircraft. This airplane would have competed with the Piper Seminole, Gulfstream American GA-7 Cougar, and Beech Duchess. Only one Clipper was built before Cessna redesigned the aircraft as a six seat twin. The T303 Crusader flew in 1979. The Crusader is an all-metal, low-wing, six seat, twin-engined airplane with a tricycle landing gear. 315 T303s were built.
