Consolidated Vultee Aircraft
The Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation was started when Vultee Aircraft and Consolidated Aircraft merged in 1943. The name was then changed to Convair. Later the company was purchased by General Dynamics. In 1994, General Dynamics sold pieces of the Consolidated Vultee divisions to McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed and then deactivated the remaining divisions in 1996.
