Van's RV-3 Aircraft Information
The Van's RV-3 is the first model in the RV series. The aircraft is a single-engine, low-wing, single-seat kit. The landing gear is tailwheel form only although some builders have managed to build the aircraft with nose-wheel gear. The empty weight of the aircraft is 750 lbs (340 kg) and the maximum takeoff weight is 1,100 lbs (498 kg). The maximum speed is 207 mph (335 km/h) with a range of 595 miles (963 km). The RV-3 uses one Lycoming O-320 fixed pitch engine.
