Detailed Description

Want to go fast and high
Estes Aviation LLC is pleased to present one of the finest examples of a V Tail Bonanza. It is truly outstanding and unique in equipment as well as history.

Very well equipped for serious IFR work. The combination of GTN 750, GPSS, and the KFC 200 FD/AP make shooting approaches a non event.

It is the next to last V35B produced in 1982 and delivered in 1983. It is now the youngest V Tail flying since the last one has been retired from flying. Outfitted with a newly overhauled IO 550, new 3 blade propeller Hartzell PHC-C3YF-1RF, and the Whirlwind (now TAT) Turbo Normalizing system. The engine was just overhauled by Twin Aircraft Engines in Newman, GA. The last annual and engine install was done by Columbus Aero Service LLC of Columbus, GA.

It is also one of the very few V Tails equipped with the Robertson STOL system. With full span flaps and spoilers for roll, control it is a very unique airplane giving you far more roll authority in the low speed realm.

Historically it was John Deakin's personal aircraft serving as his test bed for the Whirlwind turbonormalizing system now known as Tornado Alley
Many pages of notes and documents documenting his flights are included in the sale. He actually flew the Airplane to over 25,000 ft on more than one occasion. The N number was formerly N1BE.

The performance of this machine is amazing.
At 10,500 expect to see 185 kts tas at 16.5 gph LOP with the highest CHT under 370. Flying at oxygen levels expect close to 200 kts at 16 gph. It is consistently cool running at those altitudes. Or if you feel the need for more speed run Rop at 20 gph at speeds approaching 200 kts at 10,500

I was a partner in this Bonanza a few years back and used the airplane to make trips to Colorado where my wife is from. It was truly an amazing machine and I flew it routinely at 16 to 18,000 ft. I hated to see it go but my dear friend and partner developed pancreatic cancer and passed away. Before he passed we sold it to the present owner who is selling only because of insurance issues related to age.

This is truly a "One of a kind" Bonanza. Please contact me for additional information and to schedule a showing.

Delivered new to Canada in 1983, reimported in Nov 1988
Canada, WA, Nov, central MS and N GA history

The airplane did experience a nose gear collapse followed by a partial main gear collapse last year. Only damage was to gear doors and a small amount to the bonnet. All damaged gear components were replaced.

The Bonanza is in my hangar in Vicksburg, MS, KTVR. I have flown the airplane several times it flies very nicely and engine rigging is excellent.

This is a one of a kind aircraft. If you are looking for a fast cross country machine with the added safety benefits of the Robertson STOL this is just the ticket.
